So one of the primary questions is how do I play King of Bridges? Firstly, in order to play the game, you need to firstly understand what you need to play the game. You'll need the following:

  • A deck of cards for each player.

  • A King of Bridges playing mat.

The next part of the game is in understanding what the card suits and what they're called:

Hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs
Hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs

Typically suits start at the Ace, then suits are finished when the king is placed down.

Place your playing mat down.

Choose which option you would prefer:

  • Main Deck on the left hand side with Discard pile on the right.

  • Main Deck on the right hand side with the Discard pile on the left.

Place the Aces in the order your desire.

How to use your card hand:

Your card hand is able to contain four cards. To gain cards, draw them

from the main card deck.

The objective: To build the lanes starting from the aces and finishing

with the King.

Continue to draw your cards in your card hand until you have the card you

need next in the suite correlating to the suit.

Once you have the card in your hand, place into the corresponding lane.

How to discard your card hand:

You can discard your card hand at any time. To discard your hand, simply take

your card hand and discard into the discard pile.

Note: Unless you are playing free play or versus, you will incur a points or time

penalty for discarding your hand. Example of discarding hand:

General rule: Regardless of how many cards are in your hand, you cannot discard individual

cards, you must discard your entire hand.
